Affinity Diagramming

The team decided to organize our work through the platform Miro Board. This way, we could organize notes digitally without having the burdens of conflicting schedules and gives us the ability to add both interview and observation notes in our own time.

Affinity and Flow Diagrams: About

Steps

1. The team began with pooling together work activity notes on Miro from our interviews and observations.
2. We then discussed how our notes will be formatted to provide consistent data while avoiding any redundancy.
3. We began with observing similarities between the interviewees and then created categories to organize our notes.
4. We created categories based on who they are, how/when they get around campus, their experience using the shuttle system, and tools they use to interact with the shuttle system.
5. After collecting and grouping our work activity notes, we then created subgroups within each category that were collectively similar.

Flow Diagram

Our Flow Diagram shows our stakeholders and how they are involved in the Shuttle-UM system. The Shuttle-UM system is represented through the box with the regular users and the buses located inside. Our primary stakeholders would be the users, since we are catering to how to make the experience better for them, while our external stakeholders are the non-users that we aim to also make the experience more appealing for them.

To exhibit how these stakeholders flow, we show their modes of transportation to get to their desired locations and the time of day they frequent travelling.
